Dr. Andrea Drieling is a native of Cozad in central Nebraska. She attended Wayne State College studying Biology-Life Science. After college she took some time off to travel and help her mother move to Lincoln. During this time, she discovered the field of podiatry and foot and ankle surgery and was hooked. Dr. Drieling stayed in the Midwest to attend Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, graduating in 2017 with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. While at DMU she was inducted into the Pi Delta Honor Society, reserved for students in the top 20% of their class.
Dr. Drieling ventured out east to Erie, Pennsylvania to complete a 3-year surgical residency at LECOM Health- Millcreek Community Hospital with comprehensive training in all aspects of wound care and foot and ankle surgery. During residency Dr. Drieling furthered her education by completing a master’s in Health Services Administration. She has also received advanced training in Lapiplasty 3D bunion correction. Dr. Drieling has special interest in treating bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, ankle pain, and tendon pathologies.
In her free time, Dr. Drieling enjoys bargain shopping, kayaking, and spending time with her two German Shorthaired Pointers.

Dr. Nathan Penney is a native Nebraskan, son of Starr and Tom Penney, who was team captain of the Husker football team in the late 60’s. He returns to Omaha to join Mid Plains Podiatry after 15 years away from “The Good Life”. Dr. Penney has two children, Preston and Adriana.

Dr. Penney is fully versed in all aspects of podiatry and foot and ankle surgery. He has trained on all of the newest treatments and surgical techniques on the market. Dr. Penney is one of a small number of surgeons nationwide trained to perform total ankle replacement surgery and was featured on a nationally syndicated Fox News story about the procedure. He lectures and presents research at conferences throughout North America. He has authored multiple journal articles as well as a reference textbook for physicians to study as they prepare for board certification exams.

Dr. Penney believes that each patient is an individual and takes the time to get to know each patient, their condition, and their
needs/goals so he can tailor an individualized treatment program for each. While Dr. Penney is a renowned surgeon, he exhausts all conservative treatment options before recommending surgical intervention.

Dr. Penney enjoys watching Nebraska sporting events as well as all types of soccer worldwide. He is a golfer that misses the year round golf weather of Florida, but is glad to have his old golf partner (his father) back now that he is home again. He is a runner, so he understands the common foot and ankle ailments that runners often suffer.
